Alright, we’re back on the Nakamori WT300. As I mentioned, we had to reglue the flats on this X-axis because we weren’t happy with the rippling appearance. We’ve addressed that. One team member is currently scraping the slide, checking everything to ensure it’s square and parallel using levels, and comparing it to 4.0 to true it up with the bedways. Everything is on track.

Another team member is gluing turcite on this one, and I believe it’s already been applied. Tomorrow, we’ll start trimming it, and we’ll have another person begin scraping to speed up the project, since the bed took longer than expected. I want to show you this will be your sub-spindle.

We use levels to get everything dialed in. There were C-clamps on it earlier to squeeze the glue as close as possible—you never get it perfect when gluing, but scraping will refine it. So this is still being worked on and isn’t done yet. The newly glued section will be handled by another scraper tomorrow and throughout the week, with pressure applied to set it.

Once these are set up and squared away, we’ll glue the slower slide. This one will be the toughest, as I recall they had to remove about 30,000 thousandths from the bedways due to scoring. We’ll need to add more turcite here to adjust the numbers, which isn’t a major issue but will be our biggest challenge. After this is roughed in, we’ll start attaching spindles and fine-tune it further. If we need to scrape off a couple more thousandths, we’ll tweak it using the Test Bar.

We’re making good progress, with an extra team member helping to push things along. I wanted to share this video to show you what’s happening, and I’ll get you another update. It’s Tuesday, so maybe Thursday or Friday, I’ll record another video. That’s pretty much it, but stay tuned, and if you have any questions, please reach out.

I won’t be in the office Thursday night to Friday, so I’ll do a video tomorrow night to update you on our progress. Maybe I’ll do one on Saturday as well. If you need anything, definitely give me a call. The work is moving forward, getting scraped in, and we hope to finish sooner rather than later. Thank you.
