I wanted to give you an update. We assembled everything, but I made a mistake and take full responsibility. The wipers we used at first were not up to standard. They had felt and rubber, and after installing them, I realized they would not protect the ways properly. I am now making new wipers like the ones we usually get from McMaster, which fit better and offer better protection. I should have checked this sooner, but I assumed they were fine.

We’ll try to finish the new wipers by tomorrow; if not, we’ll come in on Saturday. They’ll go on the top and bottom, where the binders and gibs are. We also made sure all the mating surfaces were filed perfectly flat so the wipers seal correctly.

The lubrication system is now hard-lined, and we used M0 meters as recommended by Lube USA. These are supposed to be the best option. Some of the meters are still open because they connect to the binders, which are not installed yet. We will finish that part once we are on-site.

We added a new feed unit that still needs wiring, but everything else is basically done. The only thing left is fixing the wiper issue. I have banded everything up, including your old ball screw and the other parts you gave us. There is also a new programmable lubrication pump installed, and we can adjust the settings once it is in operation.

I did not use the meters that came with your original setup since they were not the type we prefer. Everything else is ready to go. I just want to make sure the way protection is done right. I would rather delay it a bit than risk damaging the surfaces we worked on.

So, we’re aiming for Monday to get everything picked up. I’ll follow up with another video and let you know if we finish sooner. If you have any questions, give me a call.
