Hey guys, I’m here on a Favretto Way grinder, working on the apron mounting surface. Yesterday, we flattened it and placed a parallel underneath to set a zero reference. It was out by about 5.5 thousandths with a slight twist. Today, we’re indicating this surface and checking it against the rail, as my table is perfectly straight. I’ll mark any discrepancies. We need to grind this surface true, then flip it to fit between the column ways to grind the other surfaces and install Turcite. We’re setting it up now, locking it down, and using indicators to ensure it doesn’t twist, especially at the far corner. We ground two spacers for precise contact instead of using jacks. I’ll share more updates later today to show progress. Thanks! |
