If you need service, or maintenance on any NAKAMURA TOME WT-300 REBUILD PART 11 –  Contact Us today.

Hey everyone, we’re working on the Nakamura-Tome WT300’s Y-axis. We applied wax and glued Turcite (about 0.045 inches thick) to the Y-axis and master slide. Using a gib and bottom template, we squared it against the master, indicating the four corners to zero on the bed plates. We checked the virgin binder area, achieving near-zero (within 1-2 thousandths). Tomorrow, we’ll release, clean, and start scraping for perfect contact, slightly relieving the center. Ball screws are next for the master. Sea clamps are holding it tight to minimize glue thickness. More updates soon! Thanks!
