If you need service, or maintenance on NAKAMURA TOME WT-300 REBUILD PART 18 –  Contact Us today.

Here’s another update on your machine tool. It’s off the Favretto way grinder and back on the floor, leveled up, and we’re working on all axes. We mounted the slides and connected the ball screws using a drill, which is easier than manual pushing. The binder’s Daikon blue finish needed adjustment to hit our target numbers.

The machine is clean, with no scoring after removing 0.020 inches of material. Due to this, we’re crafting an oversized gib instead of using turcite, which can become spongy. We’re machining it ourselves for better fit, as the OEM’s $14-$18 option wasn’t oversized. It looks rough now but will match the other gibs once finished. We’re slightly delayed but will bolt the spindles and align the centerline soon for an accurate build timeline. No rushing here—we prioritize precision to avoid stress over tolerances. Expect another video this week. Thanks!
