RYAZAN MACHINE TOOL REBUILD PART 3

Hi everyone, apologies for yesterday’s video lacking audio—our mistake. We’ve mounted the workpiece on the way grinder to address alignment issues. The ends are high, showing shiny spots, while X marks indicate low areas, with a deviation of about 0.005–0.006 inches. We’ve ground off 0.0035 inches so far, and the top numbers guide our progress. The piece wasn’t perfectly true when bolted, causing misalignment.A shim under the apron was lifting the assembly, bending it by 0.014 inches on one side when clamped. By adjusting the shim, we achieved zero deviation at the ends. We’re now grinding the ways to ensure flatness and will bolt up the master ways next. However, we’re at a standstill without the X-axis lead screw. Without it, we risk missing our deadline. Please prioritize sending the lead screw so we can proceed. We’ll share another update once complete.
