If you need service, or maintenance on TRAK DPM5 MILL SCRAPING PART 1 –  Contact Us today.

Here’s the Trek DPM5, a sturdy machine with a 76-inch table that avoids overhang issues like a Bridgeport. The spindle-to-back alignment is off by six to seven thousandths. We flipped it without the table, checked the binder and Y-axis for parallelism, and found the issue in the ways, marked with high-spot bluing. We’ll remove and reapply turcite to restore centerline alignment. The table shows slight wear, up to 2.5 thousandths, but it’s manageable.

We’ll indicate it on a table for accuracy. The issue likely stems from debris accelerating turcite wear. We’ll re-glue both ways for faster, uniform scraping, touch up the Y-axis, and increase lubrication to prevent future issues. It’s a simple repair for these reliable machines. I’ll send a quote tomorrow, including table axis repair and optional wiper replacement. Call with questions. Thanks!
